The new Queenstown Trail unveils 100+kms of
stunning new vistas, hidden ruins,
spectacular architecture and world-class
food and wine.
For the first time ever, you can cycle or
walk across unspoilt private land.... over
mighty suspension bridges crossing three
iconic rivers and two lakes... all set in
dramatic Lord of the Rings landscapes.
One of 18 trails on the New Zealand
Cycleway, the trail was officially opened by
the Prime Minister in October 2012
Motatapu, New Zealand's iconic off-road
sporting event was purchased by the
Queenstown Trails Trust in May 2013.
